Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard is revealed as the new face of the YSL Fall/Winter 2019 campaign and we cannot get enough!

As if being the lead role in the hit Netflix series and being a lead vocalist in the band Calpurnia wasn’t enough, the 16-year-old can now tick fashion model off the bucket list. Seriously, is there anything he can’t do?

 

The news was announced on the YSL Instagram, with photos of Finn posing in cool leather jacket and sunnies in the iconic black and white aesthetic- basically what we all know the French fashion house does best. More photos followed with the young actor wearing a sleek suit and curly hair; giving us ultra-retro, rock-star vibes- a nice link to the 80’s Stranger Things setting too.

 

This is a collaboration match made in heaven, combining the classic YSL brand aesthetic, shot by the legendary David Sims and adding one of the most influential actors of the younger generation. The Instagram is flooded with comments and excitement for the collaboration, including from the likes of Shawn Mendes who commented ‘This is amazing’ on the first announcement.

As we eagerly wait for the third season of Stranger Things to air on Netflix, this is just the thing we need to feed our obsession. The polka dot shirt featured also gives us a hint towards a potential future trend- we can’t say we’re not loving it!
