As fashion week has commenced in the UK, it’s time to raid our wardrobes for our best outfits and make a statement accessories. We all know the fashion is where it’s at on the runway with House of Hollands latest spring/ summer collection of electric, 90’s women and men’s sportswear, and with Molly Goddard’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection full of lashings of tulle, ruching and experimentation with silhouettes turning heads down the runway.

However,  there is also a clique of expressive individuals, bloggers and influencers who are invited either backstage or in the crowd at shows pulling out the stops with the latest trends, not to also forget the ingenious fashion professionals who are also invited to the shows.  Outside the doors of the venues, there is another glamourous side of fashion, which sole purpose is to showcase the dedicated audiences effort and style they contribute towards fashion week. On the streets of London every year, those attending or not are dressed with their out there outfits are snapped and shared all over social media and in the media to share what we call today street style.

Street style has become beneficial in many ways, it helps us consumers be a part of fashion week, with influencers and bloggers showing of their style with up- to date trends from high street stores and online for less. And with the rise of social media, this helps translate trends across to people who dress with a certain flair, and enhance certain trends which are trending right now or will be in a few months.
