Okay so Summer is well and truly under way and although we loved the idea of the extravagant summer fashions, glitter festival makeup and boho beached waves in our hair, this summer once again has been an absolute wash out. It’s been more like running fake tan, unattractive raincoats ruining a cute outfit and drowned rats tails for hair.

With all that in mind, we cannot wait for the AW17 fashions. The cosy knits, cute slouchy pants and any excuse to wear an excessively large cosy scarf! We have been looking forward to seeing what sort of fashions we can expect this winter! (Let’s just hope someone has designed a cute bobble hat that looks good on everyone!?)

A massive trend this autumn/winter is heritage style pieces. This includes tweed fabric, chequered prints, shoulder pads and the gorgeous bold colour scheme including rusty orange, khaki greens and vibrant reds.

You can expect to see high street stores such as Zara, & Other Stories and H&M including these trends into their shops this autumn. These stores are taking massive inspiration from world renown designer Demna Gvasalia, who is currently head designer for Vetements and also newly the creative director at Balenciaga.

The great thing about this trend is that it’s so simple! It’s taking staple pieces such as a plain tee and a blazer which everyone has in their wardrobe and making a small change such as adding shoulder pads, a pop of red/rust or khaki and you’re bang on this season’s trend.
